Family-run customs clearing and forwarding agents based in Durban, serving South African importers and exporters since 2019.
We started Everest because importers were tired of being on hold.
Being given the run around, Costs not clear. Quotes with “TBC” line items. Clearing agents who didn’t know your shipment was sitting at the port. That was the freight forwarding industry as our founder experienced it — first as an importer running a small distribution business, then later as an operations manager at one of the larger Durban freight houses.
So in 2019, we set out to do it differently. Family-run. Owner-led. Based in Verulam, 25 minutes from Durban port. Small enough that someone always answers the phone. Networked enough to move cargo from anywhere to anywhere through our agent partners worldwide.
Today we serve importers, exporters, and SADC traders across all freight modes — sea, air, road, project cargo. We’re SARS-accredited. We submit customs entries via EDI directly. And we still answer the phone when it rings.
